The 18th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival 2007

The 18th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival will be held in desert city palm spring as usual from January 4 -15, 2007. In this up coming event there are more than 230 films from 65 countries, seminars, special events and Gala receptions will present. Couple hundred of companies are sponsoring in this great events.

The 18th Annual PSIFF will honor Sydney Pollack with the Patron of the Arts Award presented by the Screen Actors Guild Foundation, Kate Winslet with the Desert Palm Achievement Award and Todd Field with the Sonny Bono Visionary Award. Academy Award nominated actress Kate Winslet stars in New Line Cinema’s Little Children, the latest from Oscar-nominated writer/director Todd Field—both will be honored at this year’s Festival. Based on the novel by Tom Perrotta, Little Children centers on a handful of individuals whose lives intersect on the playgrounds, town pools and streets of their small community in surprising and potentially dangerous ways. The film also stars Jennifer Connelly and Patrick Wilson. The Awards Gala, which will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, will also honor Adam Beach and will be hosted by “Entertainment Tonight’s” Mary Hart.
